No, it’s not necessary. At Banda Dive, we offer mini courses and beginner experiences where professional instructors guide you step by step.

What is the minimum age to dive?

Children can start from 10 years old, always with parental authorization and under the supervision of our certified instructors.

How safe is diving?

Diving is safe when practiced with professionals and following proper protocols. At Banda Dive, we have over 28 years of experience, state-of-the-art equipment, and all safety measures, including onboard oxygen on every trip.

Do I need to know how to swim to dive?

It’s not essential. Knowing how to swim is an advantage, but the most important thing is feeling comfortable in the water. We teach basic floating and breathing techniques so you can fully enjoy the experience.

What should I bring for a diving trip?

You only need a swimsuit, towel, biodegradable sunscreen, and lots of enthusiasm. All diving equipment is provided by Banda Dive.

What if I get scared or nervous underwater?

It’s normal to feel nervous at first. Our instructors are trained to support you and build your confidence. We help you progress at your own pace until you fully enjoy diving.

How long does a dive last?

On average, a dive lasts between 35 and 50 minutes, depending on air consumption and the diver’s level.

Can I choose the dive site?

Sites depend on sea conditions, weather, and your certification level. We always select the best spots to ensure a safe, comfortable experience full of marine life.

What’s the difference between shore diving and boat diving?

Boat diving, like we do at Banda Dive, is much more comfortable and relaxed. You avoid long walks carrying equipment and gain access to more exclusive, less crowded sites.

Can I get a diving certification at Banda Dive?

Absolutely! We are a PADI-certified center and offer internationally recognized courses, from Open Water to advanced levels.
